ABOUT CASA DILISIO

Lucy and Lou DiLisio started Casa DiLisio in 1973 in their home in upstate New York. Their first sauce was a French style scampi sauce later called Sauce Provencal. Casa DiLisio was the first company to bring frozen Pesto Sauce to the foodservice market and one of the very few companies using only fresh basil in our Pesto Sauce and we still do today. According to Lou DiLisio Sr., “47 years ago you couldn't sell pesto sauce. No one knew what it was.”

Today we have 9 sauces, 4 of which are Vegan, on the market in both foodservice and retail sizes. We offer: Pesto alla Genovese (Basil pesto with pine nut), No Nut Basil Pesto, Walnut Pesto, Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto, Cilantro Pesto, Alfredo Sauce, Fire Roasted Red Pepper Pesto and Roasted Garlic Pesto. The Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto, Roasted Garlic Pesto, and the Fire Roasted Red Pepper Pesto are Vegan. We also offer a Vegan Basil Pesto.

Casa DiLisio received the American Culinary Federation Gold Certification for all of our pesto sauces. We are the only sauce company in the country to receive this prestigious award.

Casa DiLisio has won 15 Gold Medals as well as 2 finalist awards from the N.A.S.F.T. in 1994 and 1996. Our sauces are sold nationwide, including Hawaii, and in the Caribbean and several countries around the world. Casa DiLisio frozen pesto sauces can be found throughout the food service industry in white tablecloth restaurants, hotels, resorts, airlines, cruise lines, universities, hospitals, multi-unit restaurants, pizza restaurants, contract feeders and home replacement markets. We also partner with several companies to supply their private label sauces.

Casa DiLisio is known as The Ultimate Frozen Italian Sauce line in the country. Casa DiLisio produces all of our sauces and distributes them through large distributors such as Sysco, US Foods, Performance Food Group, and through several smaller independent distributors. We deal directly with chain accounts as well as UPS to deliver to small independent accounts.

We have been exhibited in over 1,000 National Shows in the last 47 years. Consumer feedback from these shows is that Casa DiLisio products cannot be topped for QUALITY, PRICE, CONSISTENCY AND AVAILABILITY. We meet all the criteria for Food Service.

Our sauces are freshly made 52 weeks a year, using only the finest ingredients, including fresh basil, and the secret ingredient of tender loving care. All sauces are gluten free and have no salt added.

We make all of our sauces in small quantities and freeze them immediately to preserve the delicate, unique flavor and consistency.

As stated on the Product Sheets, the average serving is 2 oz of sauce, at a food cost of 60-65 cents. For bulk feedings, the cost is 45 cents a serving.

Sauces come packed 2-32 oz. containers to a case as well as other sizes. Sauces will keep frozen for two years and stay refrigerated for two weeks. Our sauces can also be scooped out like ice cream, refreezing the remainder, and preventing waste.
